Blended-air temperature sensor, LH

Blended-air temperature sensor, LH

The mixed air temperature sensor is the NTC type and has a sensor body inserted in the left-hand floor outlet. The sensor is supplied with 5 V from K1 pin 19 via a 6.8 kΩ resistor built into the ACC unit and is grounded from K1 pin 24. This way the voltage over the sensor is inversely proportional to the temperature (the voltage drops when the temperature rises).

The value is used so that the control module can turn the air-blending flap until the required blended-air temperature is obtained.

Diagnostics

In the event of open circuit or short circuit diagnostic trouble code B1345 is generated.

The relative opening of the air-blending flap in question, multiplied by the coolant temperature, is used as substitute value.
