Base solid paint with clear enamel
All solid colours have now been replaced with base solids with clear enamel. The risk of confusing these paint systems is great during repainting. The colour code and tyre pressure label on cars with base solid paint is marked with the text BASE SOLID. The label is located on the inside of the glove box.
Ordinary single layer solid paint with clear enamel is not quality approved by Saab Automobile AB.
Spray and enamel applicators can be used as usual for smaller repairs.
Metallic paints are not affected.
