Changing oil and oil filter

1.

Raise the car and remove the lower engine cover.
|
|
2.
|
Place a receptacle under the car.
|
|
3.
|
Up to VIN 73512706:
Place a cloth between the sound insulation and the oil sump to prevent oil from running into the sound insulation.
|
|
4.
|
Remove the oil sump drain plug and drain the oil.
|
|
5.
|
Connect a hose to the oil filter holder's drain pipe and open the oil filter cap using
32 025 051 Oil filter wrench
. Let the oil run out through the hose.

|
6.
|
Remove the cover and oil filter.
|
|
1.
|
Fit new O-rings and put the new oil filter in the cover. Fit the cover. Wipe the subframe clean.
Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 lbf ft)
|
|
2.
|
Up to VIN 73512706:
Remove the protective cloth.
|
|
3.
|
Replace the seal and fit the oil plug.
Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 lbf ft)
|
|
4.
|
Fit the lower engine cover.
|
|
5.
|
Lower the car to the floor.
|
|
6.
|
Fill with oil to specification. See
Lubricating system.
Check the level when the engine is warm, 2-5 minutes after it is switched off.
