Remove the timing belt. See

Use a lifting yoke to raise the engine approx. 40 mm.

Raise the car.
|

Remove
Oil sump (in situ)

5. |
Remove the oil suction pipe.
|
6. |
Remove the belt pulley using
32 025 006 Crankshaft holder
(a) together with
83 95 360 Holding tool, crankshaft pulley
(b).

7. |
Remove the oil pump seal ring.
|
8. |
Remove the oil pump. Remove the stud from
32 025 009 Crankshaft fixing tool
.

To fit |
1. |
Clean the treads and sealing surfaces.
|
2. |
Fit the oil pump using a new gasket. Use
Thread locking adhesive, Loctite 242
for M6x20 bolts. Fit the stud of
32 025 009 Crankshaft fixing tool
.

3. |
Fit the oil pump seal using
32 025 014 Fitting tool, oil pump seal
.
|
4. |
Fit the belt pulley using
32 025 006 Crankshaft holder
(a) together with
83 95 360 Holding tool, crankshaft pulley
(b).
Tightening torque, bolt: 340 Nm (245 lbf ft)

5. |
Remove
32 025 006 Crankshaft holder
and
83 95 360 Holding tool, crankshaft pulley
.

6. |
Fit the oil intake pipe.
|
7. |
Fit
Oil sump (in situ)
.
|
8. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
9. |
Fit the timing belt. See
Timing belt (in situ)
