Valve cones, Z19DTH

To remove


1. Remove Cylinder head (in situ) .

2. Remove the coolant pump with gasket (A).


3. Fit 32 025 053 Holder (A).


4. Place the cylinder head in an engine stand.

5. Remove the hydraulic valve tappets with rocker arms (A).


6. Remove the valve cones (A) using 83 96 384 Valve spring tool


7. Repeat the procedure for replacing the other valve cones.


To fit


1. Fit the valve cones (A) using 83 96 384 Valve spring tool .


2. Fit the hydraulic valve tappets with rocker arms (A).


3. Remove the cylinder head from the engine stand.

4. Remove tool 32 025 053 from the cylinder head (A).


5. Fit the coolant pump with gasket (A).

Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 lbf ft)


6. Fit Cylinder head (in situ) .
