The sensor measures the current absolute pressure and temperature in the charge air pipe.
| Type |
The sensor is a combined pressure and temperature sensor. The pressure sensor is piezo resistive and has an integrated signal amplifier. The temperature sensor is of NTC type.

The capacitance between the metal coated plates of the pressure sensor changes with alterations in pressure. The sensor has an integrated circuit that converts the capacitance to an analogue voltage.
Depending on the pressure in the charge air pipe, the pressure sensor will apply a proportional voltage to control module pin 40(A).
