Front exhaust gas temperature sensor (602F)

To remove


1. Unplug the temperature sensor connector.

Important

Take care when releasing the locking mechanism on the connector so as not to damage the connector. Pull the halves straight apart to avoid bending the pins. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .


2. Remove the connector from the holder and fixings and lower the cable.


3. Raise the car.

4. Remove the lower engine cover.


5. Remove the temperature sensor from the catalytic converter.



To fit


1. Lubricate the threads sparingly with 90 513 210 Universal paste and fit the temperature sensor.

Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 lbf ft)


2. Reposition the cable.

3. Fit the lower engine cover.


4. Lower the car to the floor.

5. Secure the cable and fit the connector in the holder.


6. Plug in the connector.

Important

Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .
