General

The light sensor which measures the light intensity in the cabin is built into the main instrument unit. The sensing range for the sensor is 0-1200 lux. The main instrument unit transmits “LIGHT SENSOR VALUE” (0-255) on the bus.

The SID control module uses the value to calculate an appropriate display illumination which is transmitted on the bus as " CABIN LIGHTING INTENSITY" with the units lux. See also
