Gear 2, Faulty Gear Ratio.


Fault symptoms

CHECK GEARBOX warning lamp on.

TCM in limp-home mode

Conditions


• Transmission in 2nd gear

• The TCM not in the Limp-home mode.

• The selector lever is in position L, 3, 4 or D

• Fluid temperature over 20°C

• Engine speed over 400 rpm.

• Brake pedal not depressed.


Fault criteria

The gear ratio diverges by more than 20% from the expected value when the vehicle is driven in 2nd gear.
