Open the tailgate and remove the hinge seals from the hinges. Remove the cable channels by the hinges.

Remove the upper window moulding.
|
3. |
Remove the D pillar trim, headlining, cargo net holders, clips and covers between the C and D pillars.

Lower the headlining slightly. Make sure it does not bend.
|

Left-hand side:
Separate the two connectors and remove the two ground cables. Right-hand side: Unplug the connector and disconnect the rear window washer line. |

Unscrew the cable ducting on both sides and open them. Remove them from the cables.

7. |
Extract the cables at the hinges.
|
8. |
Protect the area between the roof and the tailgate to avoid damage to paintwork and body.
|
9. |
Have a couple of assistants hold the tailgate and unscrew the four bolts securing the tailgate to the hinges.

10. |
Carefully lift off the boot lid.

To fit |
1. |
Lift the tailgate into position and have a couple of assistants to hold the tailgate for you.

Tighten the bolts. |
3. |
Insert the cables at the hinges.
|
4. |
Lay the cables in the cable ducting and close them. Screw on the cable ducting.
|
5. |
Plug in the connectors and connect the washer line and ground cables.
|
6. |
Hold up the headlining and fit the load net holders, roof moulding, D-pillar trim and the moulding between the C and D-pillars. Fit the window moulding.

7. |
Fit the hinge seals on the hinges and the cable channels on the hinges.
