Doors, hatches and door check arms



1. Check the function of all door locks, child locks, the tailgate/bootlid and the fuel filler flap

2. Check the function of the bonnet lock and its safety catch.

3. US/CA 4D: Check the function of the emergency opening handle in the bootlid.


4. Open the tailgate/bootlid with the key from outside and using the switch in the driver's door.



Lubrication


1. Lubricate the bonnet lock spring, striker pins and springs in the bonnet with Gleitmo 805, White high-pressure grease paste .


2. Lubricate the safety catch bearing and spring. Use Gleitmo 805, White high-pressure grease paste

3. Lubricate lock cylinders of the door and tailgate/boot lid locks. Use 90 512 280 Lubricating fluid .

4. Lubricate the hinge. Use 90 512 280 Lubricating fluid .


5. Lubricate the door check arms on all doors. Use Gleitmo 880, 30 06 582 spray lubricant .
