Rear seat backrest locking mechanism, 5D

Remove the rear seat backrest, see

|
2.
|
Remove the plastic cover over the backrest catch, 1 screw and 1 bayonet clip under the handle.

3.
|
Remove the backrest upholstery, see
.
|
|
4.
|
Press in the clips and pull out the lock plunger.
|
|
5.
|
Undo the wire from its fastening points.
|
|
6.
|
Loosen the 2 bolts securing the lock, keeping safe the spacer washers on the inside of the lock.
|
|
7.
|
Remove the opening handle, 1 screw. Bend out the handle and remove it.
|

Insert the handle into its position and fit the screw.
|
|
2.
|
Fit the lock, 2 bolts and spacer washers.
|
|
3.
|
Fit the locking wire to its fastening points.
|
|
4.
|
Fit the lock plunger.
Check the function of the lock by inspecting the position of the locking pin, see illustration. The pin should be edge to edge with the welded joint. Adjust with the adjuster screw if necessary.

5.
|
Fit the backrest upholstery, see
.

|
6.
|
Fit the plastic cover over the backrest catch by pressing it on while the lock is open/unlocked (1 screw and a bayonet clip under the handle).
Check the function.

7.
|
Fit the rear seat armrest, see
