To remove



1. Pinch off the coolant hoses, from the engine and to the cabin, at the non-return valve. Use two pinch-off pliers 30 07 739.

2. Undo the hose clips.

Note

Make sure that the arrow on the non-return valve points in the right direction. Pay attention to the routing of the coolant hoses.


3. Remove the non-return valve.


To fit



1. Fit the non-return valve.

Note

Pay attention to the routing of the coolant hoses.


2. Tighten the hose clips.

3. Remove the pinch-off pliers.

4. Fill up with coolant. Close the filler cap.

5. Start the heater first and then the engine. Run them simultaneously until all air has been expelled from the system.

6. Check the coolant level and coolant freezing point. Top up as necessary.
