Coolant, changing
Coolant, changing |
Fill the system when the engine is cold. Do not fill past the MAX level marking. Check the level after running the engine (=thermostat opening) and adjust accordingly.
Coolant system volume:
- 7.4 litres (7.8 qts) (4-cyl. petrol)
- 7.5 litres (7.9 qts) (4-cyl. diesel)
Important | ||
Screw on the cap securely or the system will not be pressurised, resulting in lower boiling point and loss of coolant. |

Bleeding |
1. |
Start the car. A/C or ACC switched OFF. Allow it to idle until the radiator fan starts once.
|
2. |
If the car has a petrol driven engine heater, bleed this by disconnecting the upper hose. Air in the system can damage the heater if started. Start the heater and allow it to run for a while once the radiator fan has started.
|
Check the condition of the hoses.
