Always use wing covers when working in the engine bay. |

To remove |
1. |
Remove the engine cover and insulation. Disconnect the negative battery lead.

2. |
Disconnect the upper hoses from the oil trap. The right-hand hose has a quick coupling. Hold the black plastic ring and pull the coupling upward.

3. |
Remove the nuts and bolts holding the oil trap bracket in place and move it aside.

4. |
Remove the actuator. Carefully prise the control arm off the ball joint. Unplug the actuator's connector.

To fit |
1. |
Plug and fit in the actuator. Press the control arm onto the ball joint using suitable pliers.

2. |
Reposition the oil trap bracket. Fit the nuts and bolts.
|
3. |
Attach the upper hoses of the oil trap.
|
4. |
Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
|

6. |
Connect an exhaust hose and start the engine. Check the function. Connect the diagnostic tool and clear any diagnostic trouble codes.

7. |
Fit the insulation and upper engine cover.
