Throttle body actuator (604)

To remove


1. Remove the engine cover and insulation.


2. Remove the hose betwen the throttle housing and turbocharger delivery pipe.

Important

Take care when releasing the locking mechanism on the connector so as not to damage the connector. Pull the halves straight apart to avoid bending the pins. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .


3. Unplug the actuator's connector.


4. Remove the throttle body.


To fit


1. Clean the sealing surfaces. Use a new seal. Fit the throttle body.

Tightening torque 9 Nm (6 lbf ft)

Important

Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .



2. Plug in the actuator connector.

3. Fit the hose betwen the throttle housing and turbocharger delivery pipe. Use a new hose clip.


4. Fit the insulation and engine cover.
