Rear silencer

To remove


1. Raise the car.


2. Mark the underside of the exhaust pipe 95 mm from the joint where it is welded to the rear silencer.

3. Cut the exhaust pipe at right angles.

4. Remove the silencer.

5. Clean the cut to remove burrs and dirt.


To fit



1. Fit the new silencer and adjust it so that it hangs straight.

2. Variants with visible tail pipe: Check that the tailpipe is centred in the cut-out in the bumper and that it is in line with the bumper profile.

3. Tighten the nuts on the clamps.


Tightening torque 70 Nm (52 lbf ft)
