Fluid level check, 4-cyl diesel

Park the car on a lift as level as possible. Block the wheels if using a track lift.

Apply the handbrake, engage P and start the engine. Raise the car and remove the lower engine cover. Check the fluid level. If necessary, top up the fluid to the "cold" mark on the dipstick. Lower the car.

In order to correctly read the oil level, the O-ring must be removed from the dipstick and refitted after reading.

Connect Tech2. Run until the temperature is 80°C as per the menu "Read values" TCM.
|
4.
|
Check the fluid level and top up as necessary. The difference in volume between the MAX and MIN markings is 0.3 L.

Park the car on a lift. Engage P and apply the handbrake. Block the wheels if using a track lift.

Remove the dipstick and lower the car.
|
4.
|
Fill with automatic transmission fluid as specified under
Weight, fluid capacity and grade of fluid
.
Important
|
Fill up with oil through the dipstick hole. Do not remove any other plugs from the top of the gearbox.
|
|
|
5.
|
Raise the car, remove the hoses and fit the dipstick.
|
6.
|
Fit the lower engine cover.
|
7.
|
Lower the car to the floor.
|
