Identify the type of plastic. See

Select the correct welding filler and set the temperature of the welding gun so that it agrees with the type of plastic. See

|
Heat the end of the attachment lug and tack it in place. Use the tack welding tip.

4.
|
The attachment lug is now provisionally in place.
|
5.
|
Cut the end of the welding rod to a point.
|
6.
|
Weld the attachment lug with welding filler.
|
7.
|
Allow the weld to cool.
|
8.
|
Grind the welds if required.
|
9.
|
Remove any groves left after grinding by rapidly heating the repaired area with the welding gun set to a temperature approx. 25°C above the stipulated welding temperature.
