1. Remove Glow plug (398), Z19 .

2. Fit 32 025 018 Compression check adapter to cylinder 1.

3. Connect a compression gauge with a measurement range between 10 and 40 bar to the adapter.

4. Run the starter motor at a speed of at least 200 rpm until the pointer on the compression gauge stops rising.

5. Remove the compression gauge and adapter.

6. Measure the compression on cylinders 2-4.

7. The maximum permitted pressure difference between cylinders is 150 hPa (1.5 bar)

8. Fit Glow plug (398), Z19 .
