Rear engine mounting

To remove


1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Man: Remove the gear linkage mounting from the rear engine mounting bracket.


3. Remove the rear engine mounting lock nut.

4. Slacken the 3 engine pad bolts Aut: Slacken the two bolts holding the rear engine pad. Leave the bolts in place. The third bolt of the engine pad cannot be accessed due to the engine bracket. The bolt is slackened from underneath once the engine bracket has been removed.

5. Raise the car.

6. Remove the lower engine cover.


7. Remove the rear engine bracket from the gearbox and lower it.


8. Aut: Remove the last bolt from the engine bracket and lower the engine pad.


To fit


1. Position the engine pad and insert the bolts. Aut: Tighten the bolt that will be hidden by the engine bracket.

Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 lbf ft)

2. Fit the rear engine mounting to the gearbox.

Tightening torque: 60 Nm + 60° (45 lbf ft + 60°)


3. Fit the lower engine cover.


4. Lower the car to the floor.

5. Tighten the engine pad bolts.

Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 lbf ft)


6. Fit the lock nut of the rear engine pad.

Tightening torque: 47 Nm (35 lbf ft)

7. Man: Fit the gear linkage mounting onto the engine mounting bracket.

8. Connect the battery cable.
