Check the coolant mixture. The coolant should be able to withstand at least -30°C (-22°F). It will then also provide maximum corrosion protection. In certain climates, it is necessary for the coolant to withstand even lower temperatures. If necessary, top up with a 1:1 mixture of Saab Genuine Coolant and water.
Avoid mixing different types of coolant.
Fill the system while the engine is cold. Do not fill above the MAX mark. Check and if necessary adjust the level after running the engine to normal working temperature (to open the thermostat).
