Remove the upper engine cover and insulation.
|
2.
|
Remove the bolt securing the dipstick guide tube.
|
3.
|
Remove the upper bolts of the heat shield.
|
4.
|
Remove the turbo intake pipe.
|
5.
|
Detach the pipe between the EGR cooler and the exhaust manifold.
|
7.
|
Remove the lower engine cover.
|
8.
|
Detach and remvoe the front exhaust pipe.
|
9.
|
Remove the lower bolt and nuts of the heat shield.
|
10.
|
Remove the heat shield.
|
11.
|
Remove the temperature sensor from the catalytic converter.
|
12.
|
Remove the lower mounting of the catalytic converter.
|
13.
|
Remove the clamp nut.
|
14.
|
Open the clamp and remove the catalytic converter.
|
1.
|
Open the clamp and fit the catalytic converter using a new gasket. Fit the nut.
|
2.
|
Fit the lower mounting of the catalytic converter. Tighten the clamp nut.
Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 lbf ft)
|
3.
|
Lubricate the threads sparingly with
90 513 210 Universal paste
and fit the temperature sensor.
Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 lbf ft)
|
4.
|
Position the heat shield.
|
5.
|
Fit the lower bolt and nuts.
|
6.
|
Attach the front exhaust pipe using new gaskets.
Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 lbf ft)
|
7.
|
Fit the lower engine cover.
|
8.
|
Lower the car to the floor.
|
9.
|
Fit the pipe between the EGR cooler and exhaust manifold using new gaskets.
|
10.
|
Fit the upper bolts of the heat shield.
|
11.
|
Fit the turbo's intake pipe.
|
12.
|
Fit the bolt securing the dipstick guide tube.
|
13.
|
Fit the insulation and upper engine cover.
|
14.
|
If a new catalytic converter has been fitted
: Connect the diagnostic tool to restore adaptation values.
