The main function of the control module is to:

Identify each respective wheel on the vehicle.
|
|
•
|
Monitor tyre pressure information and calculate whether a warning or alarm message should be sent.
|
|
•
|
Send warning or alarm messages via the I-bus when criteria for this have been fulfilled.
|
|
•
|
Monitor the tyre pressure monitoring system and its internal components and if faults arise send information on them via the I-bus.
|
The control module contains a radio receiver, a radio decoder to process the signal information, a microprocessor and a "CAN driver" to enable communication on the I-bus.
