When the hose is extended to the desired length, it is then locked in that position. The locking device is released by pulling the hose out a bit more. The hose then automatically rolls up to its original position.
The reel is mounted in the ceiling or on the wall and is connected to a fan or to an existing extraction system. There are several different hose grades.
An accessory for best energy economy is available where by a mechanic or automatic throttle is mounted to start/stop the fan motor.

The reel is available for hose diameters from 3" to 6". For passenger car workshops, we recommend the 4" diameter and a hose length of 5-7.5 m.
