Remove the coolant reservoir cap.

Raise the car.
|
4. |
Remove the lower engine cover and front spoiler plate.
|
5. |
Drain the coolant and close the drain cock.
|
6. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
7. |
Remove the battery.
|
8. |
Remove the nuts holding the coolant pipes to the back of the engine.
|
9. |
Remove the turbocharger delivery hose.
|
10. |
Unplug the coolant temperature sensor connector (202).
|
11. |
Place a receptacle under the engine. Remove the nut holding the coolant pipe to the thermostat housing and press the pipe back while detaching the hose from the thermostat housing.

12. |
Detach the 3 hoses from the thermostat housing.
|
13. |
Remove the thermostat housing.

To fit |
1. |
Clean the sealing surfaces.
|
2. |
Fit the thermostat housing using a new gasket.
Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 lbf ft) |
3. |
Attach the hoses to the thermostat housing.
|
4. |
Reposition the coolant pipe while attaching the hose to the thermostat housing. Fit the nut.
|
5. |
Plug in the coolant temperature sensor connector (202).
|
6. |
Attach the turbocharger delivery hose.
|
7. |
Fit the 2 nuts holding the coolant pipes to the back of the engine.
|
8. |
Fit the battery.
|
9. |
Raise the car.
|
10. |
Fit the lower engine cover and the front spoiler plate.
|
11. |
Lower the car.

Fit the insulation and engine cover.
