On-Board Diagnostics
Type of diagnosis:- |
Continuous. But interrupted when fault criteria fulfilled and will not restart until next driving cycle.

Enable criteria:

Engine running. Main relay voltage between 10 V - 16 V.
|
Fault criteria:
- |
Voltage on output exceeding 2 V when the valve should have opened and the PWM signal should be low, (purge valve normally closed). Conditions fulfilled within 10 periods that must occur within 60 sec. (It normally takes approx. 1 sec. to generate a DTC.)

Enable criteria fulfilled. Fault criteria not fulfilled within 60 s.

Check the wiring
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at various points and in different directions to detect any intermittent breaks or short circuits in the wiring. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.See P0444 .
