CD changer |
For playback from the CD change, this must be loaded with at least 1 disc (max. 6). Activate the CD changer by pressing the SRC button and selecting CD/CDX as the sound source.
The CD changer is turned off by turning off the audio/navigation system, or by selecting a different sound source from the menu.
Note | ||
- |
Writable CDs intended solely for home use should not be used since this type of disc can cause functional problems (overheating) if played in a car audio system.
|
|
- |
We advise against the use of CD singles (8 cm) in the CD changer.

The CD changer is locked while the car alarm is armed.
|
Function |
The CD changer is powered separately (+30) from fuse 9 to pin 6 in the CD changer connector.
When the audio system has been activated, the CD changer will read the “wake-up” information from the head unit on pins 5 and 11 on the bus. The CD changer is then activated (switched on).
The sound signal (line outputs) from the CD changer to the head unit is supplied via:
• |
pins 3 and 8 for the left-hand channel;
|
• |
pins 2 and 7 for the right-hand channel.
|
The CD changer functions are controlled by commands from the head unit via the bus.
