Antenna cable, radio (5D)

Do not remove the existing antenna cable without fitting a new one.
1.

Remove the sill covers and cable conduit cover on the right-hand side (front and rear doors). Lower the seat cushion and backrest.

Fold down the rear right seat (backrest and seat cushion) and remove the right-hand side bolster.
|
3.
|
Remove the right-hand side trim in the luggage compartment.
|
4.
|
Remove the rear roof cover and unplug the connectors for the lighting.
|
5.
|
Remove the D-pillar trim and the roof covers over the rear side windows.
|
6.
|
Remove the fasteners in the roof trim over the rear side windows and undo the top of both C-pillar trims.

7.
|
Remove the two clips in the roof and carefully bend down the headlining.
|
8.
|
Detach the antenna cable from the antenna amplifier.
|
9.
|
Cut the antenna cable (the loose part).
|
10.
|
Connect the new antenna cable to the antenna amplifier.
|
11.
|
Place the antenna cable into the cable duct on the side of the right hand door. (Secure with a cable tie to prevent rattling.)
|
12.
|
Fold up the carpet on the right-hand side and pass the cable under the carpet.
|
13.
|
Remove the main unit (radio) and radio compartment.
|
14.
|
Push the cable up towards the rear of the compartment.
|
15.
|
Detach the old antenna cable and cut off the loose part.
|
16.
|
Connect the new antenna cable.
|
17.
|
Secure with cable ties to prevent rattling.
|
18.
|
Refit the removed components.
|
