The coolant temperature gauge gives the driver information on engine coolant temperature.
The coolant temperature gauge is supplied with current from the main instrument unit. The coolant temperature gauge is controlled by the main instrument unit.
The engine control module continuously sends information on the coolant temperature to the bus.
The temperature display is controlled in the main instrument unit, and from information from the engine control module, the main instrument unit sets break points at certain temperatures to give a stable display at normal coolant temperature.
The following breakpoints are programmed in the main instrument unit (factory setting):
