Fault symptoms

Wipers or washers out of order.

Conditions

Cars without rain sensor.

Diagnostic help

Check fuse 37 in the car interior and fuse 4 in the engine bay.

The following values can be read with the diagnostic tool:

-	Windscreen washer switch

-	Front intermittent wiper switch

-	Intermittent wiper time

-	Windscreen wiper parking position.

Using the diagnostic tool, the following value can be activated:

-	Windscreen wiper relay.

Checking the wiring harness

Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in several directions to detect intermittent open circuits and short circuits. Note the reaction of the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool during the check.
