Sealing ring - selector rod, gearbox removed, VIN 43501883 -

To remove


1. Prise out the seal using a narrow screwdriver.

Important

Do not damage the sealing surface on the selector rod.




Important

Do not damage the sealant surfaces on the gear shifting shaft.


To fit



1. Clean the selector rod and check that it has no burrs.

2. Wind a layer of thin, smooth plastic tape around the selector rod (A).

3. Lubricate the gear selector rod and fit the seal. Remove the tape and tap in the seal using 87 90 685 Fitting tool, selector shaft seal (B)
