To remove |
1. |
Remove the steering column assembly
and put it on a bench.

2. |
Mark the steering shaft with a felt-tip pen on both sides of the steering shaft tube.

Pull apart the steering column assembly.

4. |
Remove the lock screw.
|
5. |
Carefully press in the catch and remove the bracket.
|
6. |
Remove the circlip and the spring washer.

Dismantle the bearing carrier with bearing.

8. |
Remove the steering wheel angle sensor.

To fit |

1. |
Fit the steering wheel angle sensor to the shaft. Make sure the groove in the sensor and the heel on the shaft are aligned.

2. |
Affix and complete the label.

3. |
Fit the bearing carrier with bearing.

Fit the spring washer and circlip.

5. |
Fit the bracket.

Fit the lock screw.

Align the marks on both parts of the shaft and carefully press together the steering column assembly.
It should be easy to press together the steering column assembly. |

Fit the steering column assembly into the car

Calibrate the steering wheel angle sensor
