Check the outer ball joints and inner bearing arrangement for wear. There should be no free play. Inspect the rubber gaiters.

At the slightest sign of corrosion on the toe-in adjusting threads, apply anti-corrosion agent. |

Check the ball studs for wear. There should be no visible clearance when the ball stud is relieved of load.
Inspect the rubber gaiters.
