Combustion air fan. Short circuit to ground.

Parking heater activated.

Parking heater can be activated with Tech 2.
Parking heater function can be programmed in SID.
Eberspächer diagnostics instrument used for diagnosis.
Diagnostic procedure
1. Check combustion air fan motor.

Remove the parking heater
|
•
|
Remove the parking heater control module.
|
•
|
Check the fan motor leads for damage.
|
•
|
Check that there is no short circuit to ground.
|
•
|
Take a resistance reading across pin 3 in connector B2 and the heater body.
|
•
|
Take a resistance reading across pin 4 in connector B2 and the heater body.
|
Test results OK?
2. Final check
•
|
Delete DTCs in all systems.
|
•
|
Activate parking heater (ON).
|
•
|
Perform a functionality check.
|
•
|
Evaluate the functionality check.
|
•
|
Check that the diagnostic trouble code has not recurred.
|
Test results OK?

Fault rectified successfully.
