Checking the control module's output

Unplug the connector:

H16-4 

Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Connect test lamp 86 11 857 between pin 4 of the male connector and a good grounding point.

• Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

The test lamp should light.
