Acceptance inspection of a new vehicle is mandatory for all vehicles.
Carry out the checks and confirm this with your signature on the Acceptance inspection, form ".
US: Carry out the checks in accordance with the consignment note "Bill of Lading".
New vehicles must be checked as soon as possible after receipt. The recipient is responsible that faults and deviations are reported in accordance with the procedures in force.

Check that the vehicle's specification is consistent with the order form. Also applies to optional equipment.

Check the underbody for transit damage.

3. |
Check that the vehicle's spare wheel/repair kit and tools are included.

Clean the vehicle for paint and damage inspection. If the vehicle is washed free from dirt and dust with strong alkaline detergent then this could affect the paintwork. Use as few chemicals as possible in this cleaning.
Vehicles with plastic paint protector: If damage has occurred in the paint protector, remove this in order to investigate possible damage. Then store the vehicle preferably under a roof. |

Check the vehicle inside and out for damage.

Record and report any damage and other observations.

Measures if the vehicle shall be stored |

Check and if necessary adjust the tyre pressure to 3.5 bar (50 psi).
|

If the vehicle is stored in an ambient temperature higher than +20 °C (69 °F) then the fuel must be filled to min. 2/3 tank. Otherwise, there is a risk of malfunction in the fuel pump due to oxidation.

Additional measures if the vehicle shall be stored outdoors |

Check
Coolant, freezing point and level
. The coolant must withstand at least -30 °C (-22 °F). Then it also provides maximum corrosion protection. Some climate zones require that the mixture withstands lower temperatures. Refill as required in accordance with specification.

If the vehicle's plastic paint protector has been removed then the vehicle should preferably be stored under a roof.
|
3. |
Drive the vehicle to its parking place. At the same time carry out several short braking procedures so that the brake discs are clean and dry.

4. |
Make sure that:

The handbrake lever is in fully released position.
|
• |
Manual transmission:
Reverse gear is engaged.
|
• |
Automatic transmission:
Selector lever is in position P.
|
• |
All windows, doors and bootlid/tailgate are properly closed.
|
5. |
Check and correct if necessary the protective plastic for the seats.
|
6. |
Lock the vehicle.
