1.
Note

Do not damage the timing belt. A damaged timing belt can not be reused.


Note

Direction of timing belt rotation.


Install the timing belt (1).


2. Refer to Fastener Caution .

Release the timing belt tensioner and tighten the timing belt tensioner nut (2) to 25 Nm (19 lb ft) to tension the timing belt (1).

3. Remove the EN 49437 holder (1) out of the flywheel (2) to unlock the cranckshaft.


4. Remove the EN-46789 locking tool (1) out of the camshaft housing.


5. Install the camshaft housing closure bolt.

6. Check the timing:

Turn the engine 720 degrees clockwise and check the correspondence of the markings at the timing components.
