Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Replacement



Special Tools

• EN-45000 Remover

• EN-47635 Installation Tool

• EN-41998-B Installer


For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Removal Procedure


1. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .

2. Remove the crankshaft front oil seal (1) with EN-45000 remover (2).



Installation Procedure

Note

Do not lubricate the crankshaft front oil seal or the crankshaft balancer sealing surfaces.


Place the crankshaft front oil seal (1) on EN-47635 installer (2) and insert evenly in engine front cover.


2. Install EN-41998-B installer (1, 2) into the crankshaft.


3. Screw the nut (1) in until the crankshaft front oil seal is in full contact.

4. Remove EN-41998-B installer and EN-47635 installer.

5. Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .
