For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
| 1. |
Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the oil pan as shown. Refer to
Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
for the recommended sealant.

Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing as shown (1). Refer to
Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
for the recommended sealant.

Install the
EN 47839
installer with the
EN 42183
handle (1, 2) onto the rear of the crankshaft flange.

| 4. |
Install the 2 bolts (3).
|
|
| 5. |
Install the crankshaft rear oil seal housing (2) to the engine block.

Install the 5 crankshaft rear oil seal housing bolts (2).
|
|
| 7. |
Refer to
Fastener Caution
.
Tighten the 5 crankshaft rear oil seal housing bolts in sequence as shown to 10 Nm (89 lb in) .

| 8. |
Tighten the 2 oil sump bolts to
10 Nm (89 lb in)
.

Remove the 2 bolts (3).
|
|
| 10. |
Remove the
EN 47839
installer and
EN 42183
handle (1, 2) from the crankshaft flange.
