Engine Mount Inspection



1. Install the engine support fixture engine bridge, retainer frame. Refer to Engine Support Fixture (Rear Left Side) Engine Support Fixture (Rear Right Side) Engine Support Fixture (Front) .

2. Observe the engine mount while raising the engine. Raising the engine removes the weight from the engine mount and creates slight tension on the rubber.

3. Replace the engine mount if the engine mount exhibits any of the following conditions:

• The hard rubber is covered with heat check cracks.

• The rubber is separated from the metal plate of the engine mount.

• The rubber is split through the center of the engine mount.

4. For engine mount replacement, refer to one of the following:

• Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side

• Transmission Front Mount Replacement for the AF40-6 transmission

• Transmission Front Mount Replacement for the F40 transmission

• Transmission Rear Mount Replacement for the AF40-6 transmission

• Transmission Rear Mount Replacement for the F40 transmission

• Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side for the AF40-6 transmission

• Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side for the F40 transmission
