Special Tools

•	DT-599 Bearing Puller

•	DT-8390270 Slide Hammer

•	DT-8792319 Adapter

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1.	Remove the transfer case idler gear shaft (2) with the slide hammer DT-8390270 (1) adapter DT-8792319 and bearing puller DT-599 in the direction of the arrow.

2.	Remove the pinion gear (3) from the transfer case.

3.	Remove the transfer case idler gear shaft front seal (1).
