       Procedures

          | 1. | Compress the brake cylinder piston slightly using a large C-clamp to facilitate removal of the caliper. Do NOT exceed 1 mm (0.039 inch) of brake cylinder piston travel.

          | 3. | With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.

          | 4. | Slowly release the brake pedal.

          | 5. | Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 3-4 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper piston and brake pads.

          | 6. | Fill the master cylinder reservoir.

          | 7. | Connect the park brake cable to the actuator lever on the caliper.

          | Note |
New brake calipers come prepared filled with brake fluid. Do NOT drain brake fluid from a new caliper before installing. Draining the brake fluid from the new brake caliper will prevent the brake caliper from bleeding properly.
