Electronic Parking Brake Control Module Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

1. Release the electric parking brake using electrical release:

1.1. Set ignition in Run mode and put your foot on top of the service brake.

1.2. Press the parking brake switch down and hold for 5 seconds, then a solid yellow telltale is shown on instrument panel.

1.3. Press the parking brake switch again within 5 seconds, then a flashing yellow telltale is shown on instrument panel.

2. Release the electric parking brake using manual release:

2.1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

2.2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

2.3. Remove the rear wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .

2.4. Remove the rubber plug. (Arrow)

2.5. Using a square tool with measure 3,2 mm (1/8") release the tension of the cable.

Tighten

9.5 Nm (84 lb in)
