Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .

2. Loosen the steering column trim covers for access. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement .

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedures

1. Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.

2. Transfer the steering wheel position sensor. Refer to Steering Wheel Position Sensor Replacement .


Note
• Do not remove the centering tab from a new steering wheel inflatable restraint module coil until it has been installed or re-centering will be required.

• If re-centering of the steering wheel inflatable restraint module coil is needed then refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Centering .
