Inspect the camshaft journals and lobes for wear or scoring of the intake camshaft (2) and the exhaust camshaft (3).
|
|
•
|
Inspect the camshaft sprocket alignment notch for damage.
|
|
•
|
Inspect the camshaft cover (1) for damage or loose oil control baffles.
|
|
•
|
Clean the camshaft cover.
|
|
•
|
Wash the camshaft in solvent.
|
|
•
|
Inspect the camshaft cover for cracks or other signs of damage.
|
