Oil Filter Adapter and Oil Cooler Assembly Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the undertray.

3. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LAU/A28NER) Cooling System Draining and Filling (LBS/A20DTH) Cooling System Draining and Filling (LHU/A20NFT) .

4. Place a receptacle under the engine to collect the oil and coolant.

5. Undo the cable clip from the oil cooler.

6. Unplug the connector of the oil pressure switch.

7. Detach the coolant hoses from the oil cooler.

8. Remove the oil filter cover (4) using EN-47641 oil filter spanner and remove the filter.

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten

50 Nm (37 lb ft)

Oil Filter Adapter and Oil Cooler Assembly


Procedure

1. Carry out cooling system, pressure testing.

2. Carry out filling and bleeding the cooling system.

3. Fit the oil cooler using new seals greased with Vaseline.

4. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.

5. Start the engine and check that the oil cooler is not leaking.

6. Carry out procedures after reconnecting the battery.


Tighten

25 Nm (18 lb ft)
