Oil Filter Adapter Cleaning and Inspection

Dry the oil filter adapter components with compressed air.
|

The internal parts of the oil filter adapter housing are not serviced separately. If wear or damage is noted, replace the entire oil filter adapter assembly.

Inspect the oil filter adapter housing for cracks, casting imperfections or damage (5).
|
|

|
Inspect the threads or the bracket (6) for damage.
|
|
3.
|
Inspect the threads for the oil filter fitting (3) for damage.
|
|
4.
|
Inspect the threads for the oil pressure sender (4).
|
|
5.
|
Inspect the sealer for the oil filter cap (2) for damage.
|
|
6.
|
Inspect the quick connector (1) for damage.
|
|
7.
|
Inspect the oil filter adapter housing for cracks, casting imperfections or damage (1).
|
|
8.
|
Inspect the threads or the bracket (4) for damage.
|
|
9.
|
Inspect the sealing washers for damage (2) and (3).
|
