Turbocharger Cleaning and Inspection (2.0L Diesel LBY)

Note

Completely inspect the turbocharger and all other engine components that may cause similar conditions before replacing the turbocharger.
|
Clean all mating surfaces.
|
|
2.
|
Inspect all the threaded holes for damage.
|
|
3.
|
Inspect the wastegate actuator rod for damage (1).
|
|
4.
|
Inspect the compressor and turbine blades for damage or foreign material.
|
|
5.
|
Clean the turbocharger inlet mating surfaces.
|
|
6.
|
Inspect the turbocharger inlet mating surfaces for damage. Replace the turbocharger if damage is found.
|
|
7.
|
Inspect the turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid hoses for damage. Replace the hoses if necessary.
|
|
8.
|
Inspect the turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve assembly.
|
