Turbocharger Installation



1. Install a NEW turbocharger gasket.


2. Install the turbocharger (4).

3. Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the 3 NEW turbocharger nuts (1, 2, 3) and tighten in two passes and in sequence.

Note

The sequence is necessary to avoid any damages of the gasket between the turbo charger and the exhaust manifold.


First pass to:

• Nut (2) 15 Nm (11 lb ft)

• Nut (1) 15 Nm (11 lb ft)

• Nut (3) 15 Nm (11 lb ft)

5. Second pass to:

• Nut (2) 28 Nm (21 lb ft)

• Nut (1) 28 Nm (21 lb ft)

• Nut (3) 28 Nm (21 lb ft)
